Hot Cowboy Nights by Carolyn Brown Review

LET'S GIVE 'EM SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT . . .
If gossip is the lifeblood of a small town, then Lizzy Logan has been its beating heart. After being dumped by her fiancé for another woman, she could have decided to crawl under a rock. But no, she'd rather really set tongues wagging by "moving on" with one of the hottest cowboys in Texas, who happens to live next door at the Lucky Penny Ranch. Those busybodies don't have to know it's actually all pretend. And just because Lizzy has no aim to tame her wild, blue-eyed neighbor doesn't mean she can't enjoy the ride of her life.

Toby Dawson never was and never will be the settling-down type. But what harm could there be in agreeing to be Lizzy's pretend boyfriend? They'll put on a show for a few weeks and be done. Yet the more he gets to know Lizzy-really know her-the harder it is for him to keep his hands off of her in private. Soon this rough-and-ready cowboy is hoping to heal Lizzy's bruised heart and turn their fake affair into a true romance . . .

Her marriage and divorce a well-kept secret, the last person June expects to run into when she moves back to her hometown is Evan. From the New York Times bestselling author of the Marked Men books comes the second installment in the Saints of Denver series featuring a bad girl and a by the book attorney who could be her salvation...or her ruin.

Avett Walker and Quaid Jackson’s worlds have no reason to collide. Ever. Quaid is a high powered criminal attorney as slick as he is handsome. Avett is a pink-haired troublemaker with a bad attitude and a history of picking the wrong men.

When Avett lands in a sea of hot water because of one terrible mistake, the only person who can get her out of it is the insanely sexy lawyer. The last thing on earth she wants to do is rely on the no-nonsense attorney who thinks of her as nothing more than a nuisance. He literally has her fate in his hands. Yet there is something about him that makes her want to convince him to loosen his tie and have a little fun…with her.

Quaid never takes on clients like the impulsive young woman with a Technicolor dye job. She could stand to learn a hard lesson or two, but something about her guileless hazel eyes intrigues him. Still, he’s determined to keep their relationship strictly business. But doing so is becoming more impossible with each day he spends with her.

MY REVIEW!!
5 STARS!!

In Charged by Jay Corwnover, Quaid and Avett meet under very weird circumstances. Avett has had a lot of trouble in her life and has made one wrong choice after another, her most recent choice has left her in some big hot water. That choice also leaves her needing Quaid's help. These two are both chasing something and hopefully kind find it in each other.

I jut finished this great story and I have no words to describe how I feel. I just really absolutely loved and adored this book. Quaid and Avett are so very very different but similar in both way. Avett had made many wrong choices, and in a way so has Quaid. He has been chasing basically the finer things in life because he never had it when he was younger. Avett is basically chasing punishment for something she did when she was young and is blaming herself for. I definitely felt like Avett was a hurricane but she was it so perfectly.

I really just loved both of these characters, there story was so very touching. I was hooked from the moment I started this book, like I have been with every book Jay has written so far. For some reason this book felt very different to me. I loved the fact Jay wrote in that each of us as a person has a story to tell and that story is important no matter what. I also loved how I related to this book and Avett very well and I'm sure other lady's who read this book and have made wrong choices with men just like Avett and I have both done, will feel grateful for a book like this. I'm a big believer in the saying that things happen for a reason. I feel as though this is a book that will stick with me for a long time just because the story meant that much more to me. It's really just a great and emotional read, that I loved every moment of spending time in. It's time well spent. Really can't wait for more of this series and Jay's writing. If you have not started any of her books. Definitely give her a chance, she's one kickass lady and her writing's not so bad either ;] lol !!

Return of the Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon Review

He's a mess...

Asher Knight has three constants in his life: music, beautiful women, and a bottle of Jack. He lives for the next gig, the next city, and dreams only of a life spent in front of an arena full of screaming fans. But Asher's nomad ways come to a sudden stop when he learns he's the father of a three-year-old from a past relationship and suddenly this rock star bad boy is forced to put down roots.

Only she can clean up

Gloria Shields is no one's fool. Sure, the sexual chemistry between her and Asher has always been intense, but she'd never risk giving her heart to a man who has a perfect record for breaking them. Except the man desperate to make things right with his newfound son is nothing like the rock god she's guarded her heart against for years. And it isn't long before she starts to wonder if life with this bad boy might be the best thing that's ever happened to her

The Purest Hook by Scarlett Cole Review!

Can a love built on secrets survive?

Rugged, hot, and rock hard, Dred Zander is exactly the type of man that normally sends Pixie running. Not dreaming about running her hands down his washboard abs...and lower. The lead singer and guitarist for the band Preload embodies trouble behind his quick smile and guarded eyes, and Pixie left trouble behind her years ago along with the name Sarah Jane Travers and the pathetic trailer her mom called home. With her abusive past in her past, she has a new life, a new family at Second Circle, and a dream of opening her own business. She needs capital and time. What she doesn't need is a tempting long-haired rocker or the paparazzi that follow him around.

But Dred has other ideas. Pixie's sweet hazel eyes, purple hair and kaleidoscopic tattoo of exotic flowers that swirl up her arm haunt his dreams, and he knows she wants him too. He just has to convince her. But as a juicy exposé threatens to expose their pasts, and a blackmailer terrorizes their present, Pixie and Dred have to decide what really matters and fight like hell to keep it.
